In 2024, the Fulton County Department of Community Development was allocated approximately $812,400 for its Home Rehabilitation Program. This program is available to eligible single-family homeowners who reside in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, and cities within Unincorporated Fulton County to repair, improve, and remove health or safety hazards from dwellings.
Demand for this program currently exceeds available resources. Fulton County is reviewing existing applications to determine eligibility requirements. To best serve individuals who have already applied, we will close the waiting list on July 26, 2024.

The Housing Rehabilitation Program provides funding to eligible homeowners in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County and Unincorporated Fulton County to repair, improve and remove health or safety hazards from dwellings. Assistance with eligible repairs is based on income qualifications. Cases may be prioritized for households with vulnerable members such as young children and elderly adults. Eligible repairs include Electrical- repair of breakers, panels, or wiring. HVAC systems- repair or replace. Roof- replacement or repair. Plumbing Interior-water lines, sewer lines, toilets, etc. Water heater- replacement or repair. Weatherization and Accessibility issues.
The Fulton County Department of Community Development administers programs that strengthen people, families, and communities through partnerships with various community organizations and outreach programs. Our partners include organizations that are non-profit, private sector, government, volunteer, and citizen advocates.
