Please note: For your convenience, walk-ins are welcome. However, appointments are prioritized for all Notary Commission and Passport Application services at our Downtown, North Annex, and South Annex locations. To ensure timely service, we recommend making an appointment.

Appointments are available until 4 p.m. and the last walk-ins are accepted at 3:45 p.m..

The Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts partners directly with the U.S. Department of State to assist customers with processing passport applications. While the Clerk's office acts as an application adjudicating agency, we are not the direct issuing agency of the actual passport.

Please read carefully as some processes, fees, and deliverables may have changed.

***Processing times listed below are provided by the U.S. Dept. of State and may vary based on national demand. The Office of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts shall bear no liability for any/all passports that are delayed by the U.S. Dept of State.

Adults 16 & Older (First time applying)

1. (DS-11) Passport Application

2. Original Birth Certificate (with parents' info)

3. State Issued I.D. (Driver's License)

4. Passport Photo (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart)

• Passport Photos can be taken at the Downtown Location ONLY for $15.00

5. Application Fee (Check, Money Order Only to US Dept. of State)

• $130.00 Routine Services (4-6 weeks from submission date)
• $190.00 Expedited Services an additional (2-3 weeks from the day of submission)
• Applicants may also opt to pay an additional $21.36 for a 1-2 day delivery service for the return of a completed passport.

6. $35.00 Processing Fee (Check, Money Order, Debit, or Credit).

MINORS (15 AND UNDER)

Minors 15 & Under (First time applying and children must be present)

*** A minor’s passport is valis for 5 years and can only be renewed in person (not by mail).

• $ 100.00 Routine Services (4-6 weeks from submission date)
• $160.00 Expedited Services (2-3 weeks from the day of submission).
• Applicants may also opt to pay an additional $21.36 for a 1-2 day delivery service for the return of a completed passport.
• $35.00 Processing Fee (Check, Money Order, Debit, or Credit)

***If both parent's names are on the birth certificate, both parents must be present at the time of application submission; however, if at least one parent cannot be present, he/she must provide the accompanying parent with a Consent Form (DS-3053) and a front/back copy of his/her driver's license.
