Che` Alexander has often been described by her friends and colleagues as an energetic, vibrant, and innovative leader. She is known for her candid personality and “straight talk.” A native Atlantan, Che` is a proud “Georgia Peach” and yes, she is a “Grady Baby!”
A product of the Atlanta Public School System, Che` is a graduate of North Fulton High School where she was well-known for her leadership abilities and competitive spirit.
Ms. Alexander’s career blossomed in both the public and private sectors; however, public service has been her passion and true calling. From MARTA, the Georgia Secretary of State to Fulton County Government, Che` has dedicated her life to helping others. In 2008, she became a part of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior Court’s Leadership Team as a Chief Deputy Clerk and was later promoted to Director of Court Services in 2010. In 2014, she was appointed to Chief of the Courts Bureau for the largest county in the State of Georgia. She led one of the largest, most complex, and fast-paced judicial support teams in the southeast for the Atlanta Judicial District.
Che` is a founding member and Treasurer of the National Association for Court Professionals. Che` has served on the Board of Directors for Sisters Against Domestic Violence (SADV) and served on the Atlanta Board of Dress for Success and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA). Using all that experience, in 2018, Ms. Alexander went out on faith and started her own company, CHEckrein Consulting, to continue helping people that are often forgotten by society. Helping justice partners move their counties into a more modern and cooperative present and future. Providing recommendations and guidance for making strategic decisions and facilitated organizational improvements. Che` successfully oversaw a Jail Project to help move inmates through and out of the Fulton County Jail. Che` was instrumental in helping Fulton County win the 2023 Fulton County of Excellence Award for reducing the judicial case backlog in the county by 63%. On June 30th, 2023, she was sworn in as the Clerk of the Superior & Magistrate Court of Fulton County. Finishing the remaining term of the previous Clerk.
Che` Alexander has overcome great personal tragedies and obstacles in her life but she has managed to beat the odds. Inspiring her to document her story. Che` spends her personal time mentoring young people, speaking to youth groups, and supporting her favorite football team, the Atlanta Falcons. She shares her story with people so that they can see the power of God in her life. Che` attributes her passion for public service and youth to her desire to help others realize that dreams can come true if you trust God, have confidence in yourself, and work hard.
