The mission of the Public Works Department is to protect the health, safety and welfare of Fulton County's citizens through systematic planning, construction, maintenance and operation of our water and wastewater infrastructure in a sustainable, efficient and environmentally sound manner, as well as contributing to the economies of Fulton County and the region through efficient administration of the Fulton County Executive Airport at Brown Field.

Fulton County for the Friendship Pump Station Project
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prepared the following Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Friendship Pump Station (the Proposed Action). The EPA prepared this EA in compliance with the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) implementing regulations (40 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] Parts 1500-1508) and the EPA’s procedures for implementing the CEQ NEPA regulations (40 CFR Part 6). This EA discloses the direct, indirect, and cumulative environmental impacts that may result from the Proposed Action and the alternatives considered.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has completed an independent environmental review of the Friendship Pump Station Project and has issued a Preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).
