Fulton County Vice Chair Khadijah Abdur-Rahman will host the Mighty 6 Cleared for Takeoff Domestic Violence Awareness 5K on Saturday, October 26. The race, which kicks off at 7 a.m., will be held at the Fulton County Executive Airport located at 3677 Aviation Circle in Southwest Atlanta.
The Vice Chair is encouraging the community to come together in support of the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV). Known as the leading voice to end domestic violence in Georgia, GCADV represents over 50 domestic violence organizations and programs across the state.
“It is vital that we bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence, and I know this 5K will do just that,” said Vice Chair Abdur-Rahman. “Like the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, my goal is to empower survivors, educate the public, and advocate for public policies that make a difference when it comes to riding Fulton County and all of Georgia of Domestic Violence.”
The Mighty 6 Cleared for Takeoff Domestic Violence Awareness 5K is Peachtree Road Race Certified. Check-in time for the 5K is 6 a.m., and all racers will have access to onsite vendors before and after the 5K. For more information, to register, or to serve as a race volunteer, visit
