WorkSource Fulton has joined forces with Goodwill® of North Georgia (Goodwill) to provide an exclusive opportunity for individuals seeking a meaningful career in the clean energy industry. Goodwill® of North Georgia is offering hands-on training for an electric vehicle (car) supply equipment (EVSE) operations and maintenance program. The program offers a free four-week, paid training session for electric car and electric tech jobs with salaries that average $62K plus, annually.

Individuals selected for the free training will participate in an intensive four-week program. The program includes a commitment of 40 hours per week as well as paid earn-while-you-learn training specific to the clean energy industry. At the conclusion of the training, participants will earn industry-recognized certifications and receive job placement support.
Program participants benefit from a host of wraparound support services that include: access to transportation, tools, uniforms, mentoring, and other services. Electric vehicle supply equipment operations and maintenance program participants will learn:
Electrical energy fundamentals
Basics of electric vehicles and batteries
EVSE charging standards
EVSE electrical codes and safety standards
Steps to commission an EV charging station
Common EVSE maintenance tasks
Customer service excellence
Participants will graduate with industry certifications in:
Workplace safety (OSHA-10, CPR/First Aid/AED)
Construction basics
NFPA 70e
ChargerHelp!'s EVSE O&M certificate
Program graduates will also be prepared to sit for the SAE EVSE Field Technician Certification exam that will be released in 2024.
The EVSE operations and maintenance program is in collaboration with WorkSource Fulton, Accenture, Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency, Atlanta Regional Commission, Atlanta Technical College, BDI, CareerRise, CH!, General Motors, Georgia Power, Metro Atlanta Exchange for Workforce Solutions, MARTA, and Metro Atlanta WorkSource.
