Fulton County District 6 Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman is inviting the community to attend a town hall meeting dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for the Islamic community in Fulton County. The Commissioner will present ‘A Courageous Conversation in The Mighty 6’ at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 in the Government Center Assembly Hall at 141 Pryor Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
Commissioner Abdur-Rahman will be joined by Atlanta Chief of Police Darin Schierbaum and representatives from local law enforcement agencies for this open dialogue. The panel will address concerns, answer questions, and share vital information regarding the safety and wellbeing of the Islamic community. Commissioner Abdur-Rahman, a steadfast advocate for community unity and safety, believes that this event will serve as a pivotal moment for creating a harmonious and secure environment for all of Fulton County.
“In light of the escalating violence against Muslims in America, it is imperative to establish effective communication channels between law enforcement agencies and the Muslim community,” said Commissioner Abdur-Rahman. “This Town Hall Meeting is a significant step towards building trust, enhancing cultural awareness, and promoting collaborative problem-solving.
