Fulton County District Khadijah Abdur-Rahman is heading to South Fulton to help with a very special project. The Commissioner is partnering with City of South Fulton District 1 Councilwoman Catherine Foster-Rowell host a beautification project. The team will come together from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on April 15 at the Evelyn G. Lowery Library @ Cascade, 3665 Cascade Rd, Atlanta, GA 30331.
With the community’s help, Commissioner Abdur-Rahman and Councilwoman Foster-Rowell will lead the way cleaning the grounds and planting fresh flowers for springtime. Located in Southwest Atlanta, the Evelyn G. Lowery Library @ Cascade is considered a staple in the community with easy access to educational technology. There are computers and reading materials for each age. The newly renovated building has created new spaces for meeting rooms, study rooms, and classrooms for patron usage.
“This library serves as a gateway to the thousands of readers in this community,” said Commissioner Abdur-Rahman. “The dedicated staff that works here invests their time and talents to helping patrons. That is why it is important for us to come together as a community to invest our time and talents into making this facility as beautiful as possible.”
