District 4 Commissioner Natalie Hall presented special proclamations to the David T. Howard Middle School Boys Basketball Team. The boys won the Atlanta Public Schools Championship. Commissioner Hall also recognized the girls team for having a great season and earning the chance to play in the championship. Once a high school, David T. Howard counts Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mayor Maynard Jackson among its distinguished alumni. The school also produced Walt Frazier, NBA Star and Hall of Famer. The school was closed for three decades. The success of these students is considered exceptional as this was the first full season for the kids to play together.
