Atlanta Braves 2nd Baseman Ozzie Albies presented a huge check to Lifeline Animal which runs Fulton County Animal Services. The check for $8,400 is part of the mission of the Ozzie Albies Foundation to help rescue animals. As a boy growing up in Curacao, it bothered him when he saw dogs on the street with nowhere to go. So when Albies isn't hitting homeruns and stealing bases, he and his foundation are working to cover the cost of animal adoptions so families can afford to bring home a pet. Along with education, Albies stresses that shelter animals deserve a chance.
