Residents of Fulton County have the chance to safely dispose of their expired or unused prescription drugs, as the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office takes part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Everyone is welcome to come out to the Juvenile Justice Building, located at 395 Pryor Street in Atlanta from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd, to drop off any unused or expired medication.
In addition, if residents are unable to make it out to Saturday’s event, Fulton County has eight locations where citizens can drop off their over-the-counter and prescription drugs, during business hours year-round. Those locations are as follows:
- Fulton County Courthouse: 185 Central Avenue, S.W., Atlanta, GA
- Fulton County Courthouse: 136 Pryor Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA
- Fulton County Jail/Union City: 6500 Watson Street, Union City, GA
- Fulton County Government Building: 141 Pryor Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA
- Fulton County Government Building: 130 Peachtree Street S.W., Atlanta, GA
- South Annex Service Center: 5600 Stonewall Tell Rd., College Park, GA
- North Annex Service Center: 7741 Roswell Rd., Atlanta, GA
- Fulton County Juvenile Court: 395 Pryor Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA
National Drug Take Back Day is done in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The day provides an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction, and overdose deaths.
