Plans to open the brand new Fulton County Animal Shelter will get pushed back to 2023 due to challenges from the supply chain shortage. Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Public Safety Alton Adams said, "Right now, our goal is to have a groundbreaking at the end of this year with the expectation of a 12 to 14-month construction period which would put us in the first quarter of 2023 for the actual ribbon cutting and opening of the facility."
