County Manager Announces Key Leadership Appointments

Roberta Cooper, Office of the Child Attorney

Cooper

Roberta Cooper has been named Director of the Office of the Child Attorney. Ms. Cooper has served with the Office of the Child Attorney since 2006, and served as the Interim Director of the Office since last year. Ms. Cooper is a graduate of the Widener University School of Law, and has served as an attorney in public service for most of her 23 year career in law.

 

David Manuel, Department of Arts & Culture

David Manuel

David Manuel has been named Director of the Department of Arts & Culture. He joins Fulton County from neighboring DeKalb County where he served as Arts & Culture Manager, with responsibility for the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center. He previously served with the Woodruff Arts Center for more than 20 years. Manuel is a graduate of the Atlanta College of Arts.

 

Chris Sweigart, Department of Emergency Services

Chris Sweigart

Chris Sweigart has been named Director of the Department of Emergency Services. He served as Interim Director since early 2020, after joining the department as Deputy Director in 2019. 
Mr. Sweigart brings to this role a 25 year career in public safety, and extensive experience in management and human resources. He is a graduate of the University of Florida.

 

Stanley Wilson, Director of Community Development

Stan Wilson

Stanley Wilson has been named Director of the Department of Community Development. Wilson joins Fulton County from the City of Greensboro, NC, where he served as Director of Neighborhood Development. He brings more than 25 years of experience with community development, affordable housing, and HUD programming. He is a graduate of Western New England University.
