Fulton county's justice partners are taking an innovative approach to jury service. They have developed a summonsing postcard process where a juror would receive a postcard in the mail that contains a QR code and a website address. The juror can then either scan the QR code, or they can go to the website and it will provide them with the information they need. Then, on the scheduled appointed day on their summons they would use the zoom credentials they're provided to log in for their jury service the virtual jury process.
Fulton county's justice partners are warning residents about a scam involving jury service. Scam-esters are masquerading as sheriff officers, cold-calling citizens requesting funds in order to reschedule a jury court date to make up for the ones that were missed to avoid any serious consequences.
