Fulton County Seeks Lenders for the Home Ownership Program

March 05, 2020
Interested lenders must be approved to participate

Fulton County is inviting lenders to participate in the HOP program, which helps first-time homebuyers with down payment assistance through funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Grant funds are available for down payment and closing cost assistance.

Fulton County’s HOP program helps first time homebuyers, at or below 80% of area median income (AMI), with down payment and closing costs associated with purchasing a home.
HOP provides up to 6% of sales price, not to exceed $10,000, in down payment and closing cost assistance based on first mortgage lender requirements.

Fulton County Deputy Chief Operating Officer Pamela Roshell, describes HOP as a path to affordable home ownership.  “We want to use these funds to help first time buyers achieve their dream of home ownership in Fulton County,” said Roshell.

Fulton County must approve all lenders for participation in HOP.  For more information about the HOP program and how to become an approved Fulton County participating lender, three open enrollment sessions are scheduled for the following dates:
