Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. invites residents to the 5th Annual Family Fun Day. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oak Hill, Child, Family, and Adolescent Center located at 2805 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30315. The family-centric event seeks to combine a day of fun spring activities with efforts to improve public health.

“Each year we’ve seen this event grow to become a more anticipated kick off for the spring season in one of Fulton County’s most vibrant communities,” says Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. “We hope to give the residents a memorable day of fun and entertainment that also emphasizes healthy living.”

Among the highlights of this event include storytelling, face painting, balloon sculpting, kickball derby, yoga, line dancing, and more. The performance stage will include live appearances by Mr. 2-17, Hank Stewart, and Desmond Champion. Family Fun Day also continues to maintain its focus on healthy living as it includes health screenings, CPR training, healthy cooking classes, and a mobile food pantry. Parking will be available at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at 2840 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA 30315 and at Emma Hutchinson Elementary School at 650 Cleveland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30315.
