Fulton County residents outside the City of Atlanta currently support a 0.75 cent Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) to support a variety of transportation projects.
The first TSPLOST was approved by voters in November 2016, and implemented in 2017. Since that time, TSPLOST Projects have provided locally controlled investments in infrastructure .projects that have improved safety, reduced congestion, and enhanced quality of life across Fulton County. Projects have been delivered on time and within budget.
All TSPLOST Projects are identified by each Fulton County city and are managed locally.
Fulton County voters outside the city of Atlanta will consider renewing the TSPLOST during the November 2, 2022 General Municipal Election. The renewal would maintain the current rate of 0.75 cents. The ballot question will read:
Shall an additional .75 percent sales tax be collected in that part of Fulton County, Georgia, outside of the City of Atlanta, for five years for the purpose of transportation improvements and congestion reduction?
Projects on the 2022 TSPLOST Project List include over $545 million in transportation infrastructure investments over the next 5 years across North in South Fulton. Project categories include:
