Deputy Collier is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Alabama and her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. After admittance to the State Bar of Georgia in 1998, Deputy Collier began her legal career in the private sector, in the area of Wills and Trusts. She joined the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in 1999. During her 21 year tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, she quickly advanced through various divisions, including the Trial Unit, Crimes Against Women and Children Unit, Public Integrity Unit, and Major Felony Unit. The diverse and demanding Atlanta Judicial Circuit gave her exposure to thousands of cases, including many high-profile and complex felony trials. Her success in the courtroom led her to earn the Attorney of the Year Award in 2006. Deputy Collier’s passion for justice helps to reduce crime and improve the quality of life for the citizens and visitors of Fulton County.

In 2011, Collier was promoted to Deputy District Attorney. Her assignment to the Non-Complex Unit allowed her to supervise and train new attorneys entering the prosecuting profession. She was awarded Supervisor of the Year in 2016 and 2019. Collier is very excited to be assigned Deputy of Accountability Court. The primary goals for this new role are to provide deserving defendants with alternative sentencing and treatment, thus reducing jail/prison population and recidivism. Her experience, knowledge, and skill set will greatly assist her in this role, maximizing the use of prevention and rehabilitation tools in Drug Court, Behavioral Health Treatment Court (BHTC), and Veterans’ Court. Deputy Collier is committed to providing a safer community for Fulton County. In addition to her service as a prosecutor, she is on the Advisory Board of the Motherless Daughters Foundation and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
