Tammy's educational path took her through Atlanta Public Schools, graduating from Samuel Howard Archer High School in 1994. Continuously striving for personal growth, she is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in social work at Atlanta Metropolitan College.

Her journey within the District Attorney's office has been characterized by diverse experiences and positions. She began in the trial division, gaining valuable expertise until 2020 when she made a transition to Juvenile Court. During her time there, Tammy acquired new insights into handling cases involving youth, aiming to steer them away from potential felonies and towards positive life changes.

In 2022, Tammy's dedication and competence led her to the Special Victims Division, where she was appointed Chief Legal Assistant of the Training and Special Victim Unit. Her responsibilities extended to supervising the legal assistants and working with the Elder/Animal Abuse & SB440 unit. Recently, in June 2023, she received a well-deserved promotion to Deputy Legal Assistant of the Special Victim Division, further solidifying her position as a vital asset to the team.

Outside of her professional achievements, Tammy is an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Organization since 2006, affiliated with the United National Supreme Council. She finds fulfillment in serving her community through non-profit charities and has been honored to be a part of her organization's Ashique Ladies Council.

However, Tammy's proudest accomplishment is her role as a mother. She has successfully raised two sons, one of whom is a retired veteran from the United States Army, while the other is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science at Kennesaw State University.

With her extensive experience, dedication to her community, and compassionate approach to her work, Tammy Jackson-McClendon continues to be a driving force within the District Attorney's office, bringing a positive impact to both her colleagues and the community she serves.
