Kevin Armstrong is an attorney with more than 12 years of litigation experience with a record of excellence in appellate advocacy. Kevin obtained his law degree and his Bachelor of Arts degree (in English and History) from the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude both times. Kevin has significant experience handling complex felony criminal cases on appeal and capital murder cases generally.

Kevin comes to the administration of District Attorney Fani Willis with a wealth of criminal law experience. Kevin was a senior assistant district attorney in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit’s appellate division. He primarily handled post-trial litigation in murder cases and pretrial litigation in capital murder cases and was recognized as Appellate Lawyer of the Year in 2016. Kevin previously served as the primary appellate defense attorney for the Dougherty Judicial Circuit in Albany, Georgia. Kevin is active within the legal community. He is a member of the Atlanta Bar (where he has served four years on the Criminal Law Section board, including one year as its president) and Stonewall Bar Associations. Kevin has coached high school mock trial teams in eight of the last ten school years, most recently the Northview High School team in Johns Creek.
