Just Diagnosed (Rapid Entry)

Rapid Entry is for those who have been recently diagnosed with HIV.

In addition to working to prevent the spread of HIV, our Sexual Health Clinic at 10 Park Place, along with our six other health centers, provide immediate treatment options for persons who do test positive with HIV.

Rapid Entry is the strategy to get anyone who tests positive into treatment within 72 hours. We also employ the strategy called Opt-out. Under the Opt-Out strategy, the goal is for everyone who comes to a Fulton County Health Center for a medical service is offered, but not required to have, an HIV test.

If you are interested in learning more about prevention regimens or HIV treatment, call or visit the Sexual Health Clinic at Fulton County Public Health at 10 Park Place. We prefer that you register for services in advance. However, walk-ins will be accommodated if the schedule allows.

The Fulton County Department for HIV Elimination serves in a leadership role in the development of a coordinated effort to get to no new cases of of HIV in metropolitan Atlanta. Formerly known as the Ryan White department, the department continues to manage the Atlanta area Ryan White Part A grants representing millions in annual federal funding each year. These funds are used to improve the availability and quality of core medical services and support services for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals and families affected by HIV in the 20-County Atlanta Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA).
