Stephany Luttrell

Stephany Luttrell is a 20-year veteran lawyer with 10 years of prosecutorial experience. She graduated from Mississippi College School of Law and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Georgia. Before joining District Attorney Fani Willis’ administration, Stephany served in the Appeals Division of the District Attorney’s Office for eight years and argued before the Supreme Court of Georgia in murder appeals. She also served as a staff attorney at the Georgia Court of Appeals for over six years.

Stephany’s legal career began in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit where she clerked for the chief superior court judge and then served as a trial prosecutor in the juvenile and superior courts. She served several years as court coordinator for the Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition in Cherokee County; chairperson of the Cherokee County Child Fatality Review Committee; and coach and judge of the Fulton County Legal Lives program.

Stephany received an award in 2019 for her oral advocacy, and in 2009 she was awarded Appellate Attorney of the Year. Stephany is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and she is also a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Before going to law school, Stephany served as intern coordinator for former United States Senator Sam Nunn. She enjoys spending time with family, physical fitness, and reading. Stephany lives in Smyrna Georgia with her husband, who is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and their beautiful daughter.
