Michele Henry

Grant Specialist
Michele Henry enjoys the process of writing grants, solving problems, and working with teams assisting the most vulnerable. The grants she has submitted for the Fulton County District Attorney's Office have raised more than $3,500,000 in 2020. She has a great depth of experience working with organizations she believes in. She has worked in different capacities, and this cross-functionality has greatly assisted every project she has managed, all funding she has raised, and every person she has had the honor to assist. Born in Atlanta to a Jamaican father and a mother from the Midwest, her parents taught her practical values, to care for her neighbor and a sharp sense of humor. She is a graduate of Emory University, a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) who served in Botswana, and a National Urban Fellow (NUF), having earned her Master's in Public Administration. She is a wife and mother of two and hopes one of the children will join the Peace Corps to follow the tradition as her mother had before her. She has been assured by her children that won't happen, but she remains hopeful.
