Summer Youth Job Training Program

The Summer Youth Job Training Program (SYJTP) was established as part of Fulton County’s commitment to providing Fulton County teens with the opportunity to gain work experience, develop interpersonal skills, and learn and explore career interests while earning income during the summer. Summer job programs and internships for youth are important vehicles to help them gain work experience, expand their social and professional networks, imagine new possibilities for themselves, and engage in positive, constructive activities during time that would otherwise be unstructured.

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners allocated $500,000 in County General Funds to support nonprofit community-based agencies providing Summer Youth Job Training opportunities for Fulton County Youth.

The 2023 Summer Youth Job Training Program RFP was released on March 17, 2023 for non-profits agencies to apply, and closed on April 14, 2023, 3 p.m. The 2023 SYJTP funding recommendations are slated to be presented to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners on May 17, 2023. After the Board takes final action on the recommendations, the award list will be posted on the County’s website.

Interested youth 16-24 residing in Fulton County will be able to review the list and contact awarded agencies directly for information pertaining to their respective summer program.
