Going Farther Faster by Faith

COVID-19 vaccines are here and have already slowed the rates of death and hospitalization caused by the pandemic.  Unfortunately, in Georgia and Fulton County, Black and Brown people are being vaccinated at a lower rate.

Faith leaders can help close the gaps created by racial health disparities by educating their congregations about vaccine safety.  We invite you to join us for “Going Farther, Faster, By Faith” for dialogue and solutions to address vaccine hesitancy.

  • Closing The COVID Gap in Fulton County
  • How Fear Blocks the Path to Recovery
  • Strategies & Tactics for Overcoming Vaccine Hesitancy
  • Role of Faith-Based Leadership in “Stopping The Spread”

  • This interactive session will include:

  • Rev. Shannan Jones, Concerned Black Clergy of Metro Atlanta
  • Pastor Eric V. Thomas, St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church
  • Imam Furqan Muhammed, Masjid Muhminun
  • Lynn Paxton, M.D., M.P.H., Fulton County Board of Health
  • Other leaders from the faith and healthcare communities
