Major Daniel Cochran

Major Dan Cochran is a native of Marietta, Georgia. He was formerly a self-employed business owner until joining the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office in 1995. He is currently residing in Fulton County since 2013.

Major Cochran is an alumnus of Kennesaw State University, Chattahoochee Technical Institute, and he is currently attending Atlanta Metropolitan State College completing a degree in Organizational Leadership. 

Major Cochran has accumulated more than 4000 hours of P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement training and has also completed the Law Enforcement Leadership Academy and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development course. He is an Atlanta Metropol member and a former S.W.A.T. team operative.

Major Cochran is an Advanced General Instructor as well as a Firearms Instructor. He is currently the commander of inmate housing and floor operations overseeing more than 400 officers.
