Valencia Younger

Valencia Younger has committed and grown in her career as a public servant in the criminal justice system. She has over 10 years of customer service experience and 5 years of criminal law experience. She began working at the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in November 2018 as a legal assistant.

She attended Clayton State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Paralegal Studies with a Paralegal Certificate as well as her Notary in the State of Georgia and is also a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants.

In the Records Restriction Unit, Valencia, along with her colleagues, developed a plan to increase the productivity of restricting records. She has attended events to spread awareness and provide accurate information to the community about the services of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Because of her willingness to help others, she provided extraordinary service and feedback regarding record(s) restriction applications. She often communicated with Attorneys’, the Clerks’ office, the Judges’ chambers, Georgia Justice Project, and community leaders to ensure proper execution of restricting records.

A native of Decatur, Valencia enjoys exercising (fitness) and experiencing new and exciting foods from different cultures. She takes great pride and enjoyment in her ability to help individuals navigate their way through the judicial process. She is passionate about learning more and adding to her expertise to continue to grow and advance her career.
