Lyndsey Rudder is a leader in the field of criminal appellate law. At the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where Mrs. Rudder serves as the Deputy District Attorney of Appeals. Mrs. Rudder brings more than a decade worth of criminal and appellate expertise, knowledge, and experience. Prior to her employment at the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Mrs. Rudder assisted in creating and running the appellate division of the Chatham County District Attorney’s Office where she handled numerous post-conviction matters and advised the office on all appellate-related matters. Before supervising and running both the Fulton and Chatham County District Attorney Office’s appellate divisions, Mrs. Rudder began her legal career as a member of the capital litigation division of the Georgia Attorney General’s office where she excelled at appellate oral arguments before the Georgia Supreme Court.

Through her leadership roles in numerous appellate divisions, Mrs. Rudder has formulated a successful management style and today excels at managing a staff of over eleven people. She has served on numerous training committees and routinely provides training to prosecutors across the state.

Mrs. Rudder holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Mrs. Rudder resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and their two sons. Mrs. Rudder is a volunteer with numerous organizations, including the Georgia Poodle Rescue, Girls on the Run, a member of the Georgia Association of Women Attorneys, and a recent graduate of GAWL’s female attorney leadership academy.
